Limited Edition red 360 controller unveiled

Controller and Play & Charge kit bundle available from March 13th

Microsoft has unveiled a limited edition blood red Xbox 360 controller and Play & Charge kit bundle.

The set will be released to coincide with the release of Capcom’s Resident Evil 5, which is due to hit shelves on Friday March 13th, and the pack has an RRP of £39.99.

The announcement comes after Microsoft revealed its blood red Xbox 360, which features a 120 GB hard drive, black headset, copy of Resident Evil 5 and an exclusive downloadable Xbox 360 dashboard theme.

Is this the New 360 pad design (AKA the PES one MS released with Konami) or a standard pad?

Inexplicably it’s the standard pad from what I understood from other gaming sites, whereas the one bundled with the red ‘Jasper’ Elite is!

The new revision has an improved D-pad which was introduced as a limited edition green pad for ‘Pro Evo 09’ and now bundled with the limited edition Resi 5 red 'Jasper' Elite.

just a quick note to see if it is worth your investigating all these exclusives that GAME seem to be getting from Publishers & Hardware. The New Limited Edition Red Elite with Resident Evil 5 plus associate Controller Packs have been confirmed to me today by GEM that they are an
exclusively to Game.

This now seems to be happening on a more regular basis COD 4 & 5 Special Edition Packs on all formats, Green 360 pads & now Exclusive Elite Hardware.

Our customers read the internet as well as us & assume that these limited edition hardware is readily available, and as we speak we are getting customers in asking to pre-order it.

Surely there must be some law that Game & Microsoft are breaking. Or is it simply that Microsoft wants to bypass GEM (its UK Distie) and us independents and only sell to exclusive retailers

perhaps you could ask them !!!!!!!!!!!!

#5 Agree entirely, this 'exclusive' thing is really annoying. Fortunatly all our customers seem to want pre-owned so we don't even buy new anymore, no-one wants it, but I agree, it should be illegal, how is one supposed to survive when you cannot even sell the items the big boys do. And the publishers moan about pre-owned.

Again, total agreement over exclusives. I understand that they are no way illegal but it really cripples small businesses. If anything Indies are the ones who could really benefit from exclusives as traditionally they are for a more hardocre audience. It's laughable that GAME with their family friendly image have an exclusive on such an adult game...
