Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy claims best game gong; Dead Space wins two

Activision’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare captured three awards at last night’s GAME British academy video game awards.

The Infinity Ward-developed shooter secured the Gameplay, Story and Character and the GAME Award, which is voted for by the public.

Other big winners included Nintendo, which won the Best Game and Best Handheld Game award for Super Mario Galaxy and Professor Layton and the Curious Village, while EA secured multiple gongs, including Best Use of Audio and Best Original Score for Dead Space, the new Casual game award for Boom Blox, and Will Wright’s Spore took home the Technical Achievement Award.
