SCEUK states that despite Euro and US price drops, the UK RRP sticks at £94.99
Sony has confirmed that despite the PS2 price cuts announced for both Europe and North America, the UK price of the machine is set to remain unchanged.
An SCE UK spokesperson told MCV that “neither [the European or North American price cuts] effect the UK – the price will remain the same here”.
The move is perhaps not surprising seeing as the machine is already available for under £100 in the UK – the current RRP is £94.99.
Plus, with Nintendo recently raising the trade price of the Wii owing to the weakness of the Pound, UK prices are already under pressure.

£94 is too much when compared to a basic xbox360!
it needs to be down to about £59 or even better £49. I still play my ps2 it has some amazing games and i doubt anyone could have played all the classics in the last 9 years.
Sony Pricing
So, if you add a fiver, you can get a 360 arcade with a game. Sony mustn't be expecting to sell anymore of these at all in this country.
Stock
Last I checked, none of the major games retailers in my area HAD any stock of the playstation2 machines. Perhaps the reason behind this is that there isn't that many around anymore.

ah but do you know how many PS2's SONY sold in the Saudi school holidays and during the Iranian New Year this year?. Many many more than Me Lewis sells of XB 360 in 10 years in Europe! This is a global business not just something in the UK
