LittleBigPlanet community grows to nearly 2m

And over 725,000 user-created levels are available to download

Sony’s impressive PS3 exclusive platformer LittleBigPlanet has hit a big milestone with the news that the game’s online community now stands at nearly 2m users.

In addition, the number of user-created levels now available for players to download has hit 725,000. Since Media Molecule’s game launched last November, it has been played more than 125m times.

“LittleBigPlanet is giving people from every walk of life the opportunity to express themselves creatively,” SCEE’s marketing director of content and platforms Mark Hardy stated.

“The game is just the start. This is creative gaming; never ending experiences that take on lives of their own through their players.

“LittleBigPlanet appeals to a generation shaped by their networks and thirsty for great experiences to share with friends. Where LittleBigPlanet goes from here is up to its community; it is theirs to shape however they like. This makes it much more inclusive than gaming has ever been before.”

I've been amazed at the creations my kids come up with. I believe its a great educational tool aswell given all the tools and materials for creating levels and the understanding of to use them. This is one game in my collection that has never stopped being played since launch.
