Retail Bulletin ranks 108 UK etailers for functionality, with HMV jumping 49 places
National entertainment retailer HMV is the star games performer in a new comparison of the nation’s leading retail websites, according to survey conductor The Retail Bulletin.
HMV was one of the star performers, with the technical performance and functionality improvements seen on its website seeing it jump 49 places to become the UK’s 25th ranking retail portal.
Play.com also saw its position improve 17 places as it jumped to 61st, though the popular portal was criticised for some potentially serious code issues. Leading games retailer GAME held firm in 91st spot.
Other notable games retailers in the listing include Tesco Direct (17th), Argos (18th), Comet (40th), iTunes (42nd), John Lewis (47th), Currys (63rd), Asda (76th), Dixons (78th), Toys R Us (85th), PC World (93rd), Amazon (101st) and WH Smith (104th).

Oh really?
Oh really? Any retail survey that ranks Tesco Direct / Tesco (where you can't save your cart, and lose it if you select a delivery slot) above iTunes needs their head testing...

Link doesn't work. I too am dubious about these rankings; e.g. Currys better functionality than GAME? It doesn't do basic stuff like user journey breadcumbs, and HMV doesn't seem to have any alt tags etc. Love to see their ranking criteria.
