RETAIL BIZ: Price Check

Online unable to match High Street prices as supermarkets and specialist retailers buck trends in this week’s MCV price check

MCV visited Carlisle, Cumbria for this week’s retail price check, and found that High Street retailers were able to buck the traditional pricing trend by undercutting the online competition.

For Eidos’ latest release, the Tomb Raider Double Pack for PSP, Gamestation priced the game at £19.99, while Tesco offered it at an even lower price point of £12.00 – but the game was retailing for as much as £24.99 online.

Check out the latest price check here.

High-street doesn't stock half of the games price checked. While the price of Supermarket games is great, it seems they can't yet compete on the range of products offered. Which I think is probably a good thing!
