Nintendo’s Wii sensation makes it four weeks on the trot as Atari’s Riddick claims second spot
Wii Fit is this week enjoying its fourth straight week at the top of the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40 this week, taking its total tally of number ones to 13.
In capturing the crown yet again it successfully fends off Atari’s The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena, which debuts in second place.
The rest of the Top Ten sees little change, with EA’s The Godfather II and FIFA 09 securing third and fourth respectively and Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 hanging on in fifth.
Professor Layton, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Play capture sixth, seventh and eighth respectively for publisher Nintendo, whilst Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: World at War and 2KPlay’s Carnival: Funfair Games rounding off the Top Ten.
Elsewhere in the Top 40, the ongoing World Snooker Championship at the Sheffield Crucible sees Blade’s WSC Real 09 re-enter the listing in 28th. There are also re-entries for Gears of War 2 (31st), Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (32nd) and Left 4 Dead (36th).
