I applied for two floor passes and faxed all the required information through on April 1st but still haven't received a reply. Tried Calling today as you cannot email them but you just get a recording and have to leave a message. So it's anybodies guess when we will get a reply. When applying they say it will be approx 2 weeks!

The big E3 Con?

In my opinion the organizers have decided to sabotage this event, the list of so called "proofs" are set in such a way as to make it difficult for non Americans to prove being part of the industry. Stalling on the returns and approvals (as shown above) is another way to get an easy default. They get to charge a 500$ rip off ticket to basically just walk around the halls.
I've decided not to go (Sadly after being to over 14 of them) , GDC is now my main event. I hope This con is seen for what it is. Let them get the 5 Million back they lost through last years incompetence another way. The message is loud and clear "stay away from this lost cause". Anyone else think the same way? (it would be interesting to see an article on this)

Resale Tax Certificate - We don't have them in the UK and if you are a developer you don't sell things you make them!

Company Credit Card (with applicants name) Most company's (sadly!) don't give company credit cards anymore

Insurance Card - Again very US centric...

Business License - We don't have them in the same way as the US, So you need to ask your boss for a copy of the company's registration certificate to go to E3?

Paycheck Stub - this should be easy but we live in a world of electronic transfers

W-2 Form - Not easy to get

(you see the trend... Detached from reality or just deceitful?.. you decide)
