Heather Mills wanted to be Bionic Commando

UPDATED: Deal with Capcom fell through when celeb demanded leading role in recent next-gen outing

UPDATED: In what can safely claim to be the strangest story this author has ever written, it has emerged that a potential collaboration between famous divorcee Heather Mills and publisher Capcom fell through when the ex-McCartney demanded the leading role in recent title Bionic Commando.

It’s not completely understood in what capacity Heather Mills was approached by Capcom (though some sort of marketing tie-up seems the most logical bet), but whatever the deal was it fell through after Mills’ demands got out of hand.

The Sun reports that the ex-model wanted ten times the payment offered by Capcom. Best of all though, Mills also demanded a role as Bionic Commando’s lead character. Capcom, reportedly, “weren’t keen on basing the game on her”.

Just imagine. We would contact Capcom, but let’s face it – what more is left to say?

It sounds more preposterous than you could possibly comprehend, but MCV has actually heard this story before from official folk in the know. Dare to believe.

UPDATE: In the interests of fairness, Heather Mills has just posted the following on her Twitter account: "Got offered to promote an amputee bionic computer game, from a wealthy computer games company I said if you donate a large sum to charity.

"The stingy company came back saying they couldn't, what happened to charitable businesses, seems they just want to exploit and give nothing.

"It may make sense to take the offer but I'd rather donate regularly to many charities much more than they're offering and not be exploited."

You might want to take a look. She's still going now...

I can just imagine the lead character shooting a grappling leg off into the distance, it bouncing off a wall and her falling over, as it shoots back and kicks herself up the arse.

That's going to instill some fear into the enemy that is. :D

What a great story to dream up. Genuinley impressed at the amount of coverage this has got! Coincidently hits the paper one day before the new game is released at all good video game retailers.

Reminds me of some of the ace stories the Acclaim PR guys dreamt up a few years ago.

I want to know more! The twiiter feed doesn't make sense: is she saying she turned it down because of the amount or becasue she felt exploited? It reads as though she is saying their is a price but it wasn't met - I say bring her back to the negotiation table.

Reminds me of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's One Leg Too Few sketch. "I have nothing against your right leg. Trouble is, neither do you."

Heather Mills Bionic Commando

I'd like to see either confirmation or repudiation via Capcom that her $$$ demands were actually for charity... Did she mention charity to them? It's been proven every time that, other than the years Mills was married to McCartney, she has never, ever, given a cent to charities (and this proof has been legally documented)... What's the truth, Capcom? Charity, or no?

It's great to hear how much Heather loves to donate to charity. It's pretty simple to donate someone else's hard-earned money and now she was Capcom to donate their hard-earned money too.

She doesn't deserve the exposure that a computer game will give her although I would love to see her as a one-legged monster in the next Quake.

Apparently her special weapon in the game was going to be a plane.

And a Ladyshave for the other leg.

Come on Mills. You are not a charity, no matter how many arms you haven't got
