Retailer pips big name rivals to win latest Xbox 360-sponsored networking event
Amazon triumphed at last night’s MCV/Xbox 360 Industry Pub Quiz, after fighting off stiff competition from The Sun and 505 Games.
A mixture of retailers, media and publishers gathered at London’s Sway Bar to battle to be the biggest brains in games, and win some pretty spectacular prizes, including Xbox 360s and a load of Live points for the overall winners.
The Round Sponsors were 505 Games, Koch Media, Ubisoft, Turner Media Innovations, EA Sports’ Grand Slam Tennis, A4T, Sega and the Xbox LIVE Videomarketplace, with each of them offering cool spot prizes, most of which seemed to be won by a very happy HMV team.
Just below the battle for top spot, Play.com ended up as the leading retailer, whilst IGN and Gamespot also put in good shows on behalf of the media. MCV’s performance will not be discussed. Ever.
All the prizes on offer last night can now be won by MCV’s wider readership here.

Agreed
Yep, GameSpot's regards to Orlaith and the rest of the guys -- was a fantastic night. Despite coming behind IGN.
Thanks MCV
All the IGN boys enjoyed the evening.....4th on our debut was admirable. We'll firm up our bird knowledge for the next quiz
The next Xbox 360 quiz...
Congrats to the victorious Team Amazon and thanks again to everyone who participated.
Was one of the best yet, with a good mix of retailers, top publishers and media in the swanky Sway bar.
Having The Sun, IGN and Gamespot in the room shows the wide appeal of these events, plus our good friends at Ubisoft, Sega, EA Sports and many more.
You will be able to see a final league table for the 20 teams who took part in next week's MCV print edition.
Thanks to everyone at Xbox and all the sponsors - excellent prizes once again.
See you in September.
