Deep Silver rescues Prison Break game

Previously aborted TV tie-in will arrive in autumn, says report

Koch's Deep Silver publishing label has snapped up the rights to distribute the game based on TV show Prison Break.

The game, commissioned in 2007, was cancelled by original publisher Brash - a Hollywood firm which made bold claims about improving the quality of licensed games, only to fail miserably - but Slovenian developer Zootfly continued to fund the project to completion.

According to a report in the LA Times' blog, the game will now arrive at the end of the year, with some cast providing voice work.

"The cancellation was a blessing in disguise because we got to spend more time on the key gameplay features and get rid of the half-baked ideas Brash management pushed on us," Zootfly CEO Bostjan Troha said.
