I just hope...
... Nintendo don't slap people in the face for getting Wii MotionPlus early. By allowing EA to beat them to market with MP games, they effectively forced people to buy 2 MP units or go without multi-player for 2 months.
After some enquiries, it appears that Nintendo are not releasing Wii Sports Resort without the MP unit. If this is the case, then this is a fair old mess up on Nintendo's part to allow another company to be the ones to entice players to buy the MP. Because it now looks like Nintendo are saying "if you want Wii Sports Resort, you MUST pay extra for a MP unit you don't need"
I mean, for those who already have 2 MP units (I got one with Grand Slam Tennis and then bought a second at the same time for example), what is the incentive to buy what will now be an overpriced title because of the MP bundle?
Be interested to hear from any retailers who know of plans to release the game on its own.
@LeeC
But if you already have two M+ units, buying this'll enable you to have three-player games!
Wii Resort
What is wrong with Nintendo? I've seen all the trailers and reviews for the wii resort and it looks abysmal. They seem to insist on trying to simulate things that most people can go out and do in the real world quite easily and much more cheaply than forking out for the MP or even the console!! A decent release title would have been a star wars MP light saber game or something, and not some throw a frisbee to a virtual dog rubbish. What's next, virtual hoovering a virtual house? or maybe a MP scrubbing brush so you can play the Scrub the kitchen floor game. Muppets.
