UK gets game on October 2nd – supported by ‘biggest ever’ marketing campaign

FIFA 10 will be released in the UK on October 2nd, MCV can reveal.

EA today told MCV that the title would be supported by “a multi-million pound campaign".

Insiders have told MCV that this is widely expected to be EA Sports' biggest marketing campaign to date in the UK.

That will have to go some way to beat the promotional support for FIFA 09 last year – which even saw EA ‘takeover’ an entire four-minute ad break on Sky Sports during the football season.

The title will be released on all formats, including DS and PSP.

Unconfirmed online reports suggest that the game will reach Europe on the same day, and will hit North America on October 20th.

If the online league system works better this time round, that's the only improvement I'll need. Looking forward to this.
