Shock iPhone port hits Japanese version of App Store – WATCH THE VIDEO

No-one even knew that hit GameCube, PS2 and Wii outing Resident Evil 4 was heading to iPhone until it was unexpectedly released on the App Store earlier this week.

Tough luck if you missed it though as the game was removed from the Japanese portal moments later. The game appears to be based on the engine that powered the successful Resident Evil: Degeneration.

Fortunately there was enough time for AppBankVideo to grab a video and stick it up on YouTube. You can see that below.

There’s no word yet about an official release date.

Aiming

It looks pretty decent for an iPhone game although they need to sort out the aiming - it looks like a bloody hassle trying to shoot anything accurately

I thought so too, on the back of that video, but having downloaded the trial version of Resident Evil Degeneration, I have to say the aiming is rather well done. This possible aiming issue prevented me from buying it in the first place, but now that's resolved, when Resident Evil 4 is released, I'll get that. Looking forward to it. :)
