DEVELOP'09: Sony's PlayStation camera boasts new features

Some of the advantages boasted by Microsoft's Natal controller are already in the PSEye, Sony said today.

The firm has developed new facial recognition software for the PSEye camera which has been put together after many experiments by both the excellent SCEE R&D team and work with other developers.

i wish sony and microsoft would stop chasing the casual wii market, proj natal is the same, i think its a step backwards, technology is interesting but they will just want a cash cow with motion control some cheap crappy game, casual customers dont buy games very often, look at the ammount of wii games there are more than the xbox 360 and most are just trying to be the next mini game must have, wii has really stopped sellin for me now, and the customers i sold wii fit and mario kart to just dont come back for any other games, in turn developers will put their attention towards the casual and away from the hardcore, look at ubisoft 90% is casual crap wii games
