FIFA 10 grabs Lampard and Walcott

Chelsea talisman and speedy Arsenal youngster join Man Utd’s Wayne Rooney on game’s front cover

EA has announced that two of England’s biggest footballing stars will be joining Manchester United’s long-tine FIFA mascot Wayne Rooney on the cover of the upcoming FIFA 10.

Former West Ham star and current Chelsea midfield boss Frank Lampard will appear alongside former Southampton FC striker and current Arsenal hopeful Theo Walcott on all versions of the game due out in October.

“FIFA is definitely the best football game on the market, and I am delighted to be featured on the cover again,” Wayne Rooney assured.

“I play the game regularly online and against a lot of the lads at the club and I’m looking forward to the 360 degree control as it will make FIFA even more realistic than any other football game out there.”

Lampard added: “I’m really pleased to be part of the FIFA franchise. Being on the cover of this great football video game with such a long history is really special for me.”

And lest we forget erstwhile England youngster Walcott: “To join the likes of Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard on the cover of FIFA is a huge honour for me. FIFA is the game of choice in the Arsenal dressing room so I'll have to keep on top of my game to make sure I’m the best FIFA 10 player at the club.”

FIFA 10 is due out on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP and PC on October 2nd.
