Popular DS RPG could remain exclusive to Japan
Square Enix has yet to decide whether or not it will release Dragon Quest IX in western markets.
The DS RPG made its debut last month in Japan, but the publisher has yet to confirm it will be released in the US or Europe, according to VG247.
“Dragon Quest IX is currently being considered for release outside of Japan,” said a Square Enix representative. “When a definitive decision is made about the release we will make an official statement.”
Dragon Quest IX is the first in the long-running RPG series to be exclusive to DS. It has been a key driver in DSi sales since launching in Japan.
