Guild Wars 2 reveal expected this week

NCsoft is expected to reveal major details for the highly anticipated Guild Wars 2 at this year’s Gamescom.

The official website and Twitter feed for the sequel to one of the publisher’s biggest hits are now active, while the developer has teased that the first glimpse of the game is almost here”.

ArenaNet boss Mike O’Brien said: I want to thank all our fans for their patience as we developed the game to the point where we can start talking about it publically. I know you’ve all been anxiously awaiting this moment.

You’ll soon understand how ambitious we’ve been and what we’ve accomplished during these past two years of development. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but from here on out we’ll be able to provide you with more regular updates. Stay tuned for an exciting week ahead.”

Kotaku reports that when arranging press appointments for Gamescom, NCsoft said it had a major announcement lined up for the trade show.
