Next chapter in the Final Fantasy saga to be released on December 17th; £60 price hints at high UK RRP

Square Enix has just confirmed the rumours – Final Fantasy XIII will be released on PS3 in Japan on December 17th.

The game will cost YEN 8,800 – that translates to around £60, which could conceivably point to a higher than normal RRP in the UK a la Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

There’s still no word on an exact European release date beyond the spring 2010 window already indicated, though with Square’s event still ongoing an announcement is not yet out of the question.

HHHhhhmmm they know people will buy it no matter what, so obviously it matters not that the price is double an average, new PS2 game! Square Enix will only benfit from it... Agito and Versus may also therefore benefit!
