BioShock finally hits 360 games-on-demand

Belated arrival for 2K Games’ celebrated shooter, which is priced at £19.99

Having formed part of the Xbox 360 games-on-demand North American launch line-up, 2K Games’ critically and commercially successful subterranean first person shooter BioShock has been released on the European arm of the service.

Like all the other titles to date, the game is available to download for £19.99. The cheapest price for BioShock online, according to GamesTracker, is currently £9.98 courtesy of Choices UK.

Also hitting European servers is fellow 2K title Civilization Revolution, though Sid Meier’s latest is currently only available in Germany – as well as Canada and the US.

£19.99 is expensive for Games on demand. My local game/gamestation have the majority of the titles available a lot cheaper second. Not only are they cheaper, but you can actually trade them in again & are not lumbered with a digital copy of a game!

Great idea games on demand, but gamestation do a 3 for £30 range in which you could pick up at least 80% of the downloadbale titles.

Civilisation Revolution has appeal for me but i cant get it as its germany only - i can understand region based games ie America, Asia and Europe releases but just Germany but not the likes of the UK makes sense. I know these games on demand are expensive compared to store but i have only one games store in an hour and half radius from me so i dont actually mind paying for the convienence. Ive already done this with Lego Star Wars Complete Saga and have been actively following which games come to this service on a regualar basis. Hoping to see a regular influx of them on a regular basis - anyone unhappy with them can simply not download them as i think its still value when you consider its now the norm to be expected to pay 1200MSP for an arcade game release.
