Star Ocean: Last Hope confirmed for PS3

Former Xbox 360 exclusive hits Sony’s console on February 12th

Square Enix has confirmed it will be bringing Star Ocean: The Last Hope – International will be released on PS3 next year.

The Last Hope was originally the first Xbox 360 exclusive instalment in the long-running RPG series, which has traditionally been released on PlayStation consoles. It served as a prequel to the original PS2 titles.

“Star Ocean: The Last Hope was well received by fans and Xbox 360 owners when it was released in June this year,” said Square Enix’s vice president of brand Larry Sparks.

“We’re very pleased to be able to announce the release of this game on PlayStation 3. The epic sci-fi storyline and superb graphics will make it an essential release for many PS3 owners.”

The game is due to hit shelves on February 12th, 2010 and features a range of new localisation options for PS3 owners, including the ability to switch between English and Japanese voiceovers.

i think tales of vesperia is also heading to ps3, multiplatform games has to be better for developers, 1st party exclussives are a different issue
