Yakuza 3 coming to UK and Europe?

Rumours suggest Sega’s sequel could be coming West after all

1UP is reporting that Yakuza 3 is being localised for US and European markets.

The gangster series has enjoyed much critical acclaim and commercial success, particularly in Japan. And recent reports revealed that the game would not be coming to Western markets.

However, according to 1UP sources a localised version maybe unveiled at Tokyo Games Show, as well as Yakuza 4.

Yakzua 3 was released in February in Japan exclusively on PlayStation 3.

i never understanded why sony wouldnt release an exclussive title to the rest of the world, i can imagine the language translation alone would be a nightmare especially for Japanese RPGs, but this game looks incredible, looks deeper than GTA 4 for me, look forward to this title

I've always liked the look of this game and was very dissapointed to hear initially that it wouldn't make the West. Great news.

The previous 2 Yakuza games were flawed but awesome overall.

The reason Sony are not pulling out all the stops to make this a big exclusive is because NO ONE in the west bought the previous games which is a travesty.

It is NOTHING like Grand Theft Auto.

If you are looking for a great beat 'em up with a movielike story flavoured with Shenmue then BUY THIS ONE PLEASE.
At least give Yakuza 2 PS2 a try if you find it, its cheap but great fun.

This was one of the best RPGs I've played in awhile. It was my first Ryuu ga Gotoku (Yakuza) game and wow, the story, characters, world, fighting, minigames, all excellent. Very high production values. Great payback on my years invested learning Japanese. :) Now I'm having a blast going through Ryuu ga Gotoku: Kenzan!, very similar style game but set in old Japan.

If either of these games get translated to English, consider yourself lucky and pick them up!
