RETAIL BIZ: Out This Week

Tomorrow's blockbuster release leads another strong week for games

In the wake of tomorrow’s highly anticipated release, there are still plenty of big titles arriving on shelves this Friday to look forward to.

However, the highlight of the week will undoubtedly be Microsoft’s Halo 3: ODST. Arriving tomorrow, the game invites fans to experience the Halo universe from a whole new perspective: that of a recon trooper cut off from his unit.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Nintendo’s universally appealing puzzle series returns with Professor Layton & Pandora’s Box. The laterally thinking English gentleman is hot on the trail of a murderer and needs players’ help to track down a mythical artefact.

Also out this week is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (Activision Blizzard), Aion: The Tower Of Eternity (NCsoft) and Family Trainer: Extreme Challenge (Namco Bandai). Click here for the full release schedule.

With comments like this do you ever wonder why the publishers don't give a flying f*ck about the indie stores?

Boasting about breaking street date then whining that another retailer is selling at reduced margin.

How much are your R4 cards selling for?

publishers dont care about indies thats the point, why all the exclussive deals for amazon, play, game, gamestation, if we cant even sell limited ed items why should i support publishers, we dont sell r4 but so many people ask for them and ask about chipping the 360, ok please explain to me if gem sells a game to us for 29.99 and morrisson sells the game for the same price how would you if you were in business make a profit ?
trade ins and selling early are the only things we have, anyway all online sites send game sout early, since i have friends up north who buy online and they are always online wed with a new title before friday release
