New DSi SKUs unveiled

Facebook pre-installed on metallic blue, light blue and red versions; Coming in October

Nintendo has today announced that its DSi will be available in three new colours from October 23rd – with Facebook pre-installed on the console.

The system will be available in Metallic Blue, Light Blue and Red across Europe on October 23rd.

The Facebook feature allows users to post their photographic creations straight to their profile via the Nintendo DSi Camera.

The console also includes Flipnote Studio, which enables consumers to make notes on their Nintendo DSi animate their own mini-movies. These can then be uploaded and shared online.

In addition, Nintendo has revealed that those that use their Nintendo DSi to access the Nintendo DSi Shop through Nintendo Wi-Fi connection before March 31st, 2010 will receive 1,000 Nintendo DSi Points for free, which can be used to download exclusive games and/or applications.

Not much of a revelation about the 1000 points if they connect to the DSi store, that's been in place since the original launch......

New colours are nice though, especially the red one

Nice set of new colours but nothing that we haven't seen before in other countries. Come on Nintendo Europe, give us an exclusive colour......yellow maybe?

When the facebook software be available on DSi as I tried it with DSi when I am on holiday and it doesn't work work. (Try getting on computer with so many people using it in hostel)
