Alternative Resident Evil 5 heading to Xbox 360

Revamped Resi for PS3 Motion Controller could appear on Microsoft console

Capcom has revealed it hopes to bring Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition to Xbox 360 owners.

The game was announced for PS3 at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, and adds support for Sony’s Motion Controller. It also includes extra content, including a playable sequence set in the original Resident Evil mansion.

A Dengeki Online report states that Capcom is planning to bring the additional content to the Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil 5, according to IGN. However, the publisher warned it will be in a “different format”, most likely in the form of DLC.

Given the lack of a more detail timeframe for Natal, there is no word yet on whether or not the Xbox 360 edition will feature Microsoft’s own motion-sensitive functionality.

The reason the Alternative Edition is called the 'Alternative Edition' is because of the wand control scheme. The extra content in the Alternative Edition will undoubtedly come to all platforms, as DLC I imagine, but what makes the alternative edition alternative in the first place probably won't. I can't see the wiimote/wand scheme working with natal without an accurate pointer and trigger (without a remote of their own).

I hope that they offer the new Jill/Chris scenario as DLC for owners of the old version on PSN. I don't want to buy the game again, i bought it first day it came out. I would rather download it on PSN!
360 owners are getting it in DLC form because they don't have motion yet, or maybe this will not work with Natal. But i don't want to have to buy the motion wand, AND RE5: Alternate Edition just to play this new scenario :(
