Nintendo named ‘world’s best company’

Business Week crowns platform holder as globe’s greatest – ahead of Google and Apple

Business Week has crowned Nintendo as the greatest company on Earth today in an annual poll.

The platform holder finished ahead of Google and Apple in the table, which measures factors including sales growth rate and rises of market capitalisation.

The business weekly says the table reflects: ‘commitment to innovation, diversified portfolios, aggressive expansion, strong leadership, and a clear vision for the future’.

Nintendo last month announced a 'price cut' for Wii, which saw the console's UK trade RRP drop to £179.99. The system will now be bundled with Wii Motion Plus, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Sports as standard.

And STILL they have the worst environmental-friendliness of most companies.

All this 'environmental-friendliness' crap is going on my nerves. Just because Big N is not sharing all his figures with every hobo on the street some also 'not so kosher' environmentalist like Greenpace think they can make a case out of it. Zip it and realize that Nintendo is at the moment a big player and made a more than successful comeback.

"Environment"... uh wha!? You're saying they're successful so they shouldn't be held to high standards of environmental accountability!? That's one seriously ignorant statement, but you say it so proudly. You should run for governor of Alaska.

No that is not what I am saying. I just hate the fact that they are marked because they don't give figures away and Greenpeace is saying the are not environmental-friendly but stating in the same report that there numbers couldn't be based on anything because Nintendo didn't provided them with figures.
