Sony’s promotional bandwagon gets going ahead of Friday’s release
Publisher Sony has lifted the lid on its TV ad that will be supporting the release of the highly anticipated Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – and you can see it below.
The game has enjoyed almost unparalleled praise form the games press and is on track to become one of the highest rated titles of all time.

Uncharted 2 & PS3
Fantastic. Sony have really stepped up in the advertising department; they are consistent, stylish and the quantity of them on TV time is also very good. As for Uncharted 2 this game is going to define this generation of video-games (as is LittleBigPlanet). Sorry Halo, Grand Theft Auto, Gears of War fans....those are ALL fantastic games but not as special, unique and the breath of fresh air these two games have been (when you also include the original Uncharted). Uncharted 2 deserves all the success it will get and that is not something you can say for many games this generation (no doubt it will under-sell in terms of the quality of the game ratio); .
An article? for this?
Did this really need an article? Sorry but there are lots of gaming ads at the moment, just seems odd you picked this one. I understand it has got global success with its reviews but come on, I never saw anything like this with other AAA titles.
Some people...
Why would you whine about this?! MCV like to inform their loyal fanbase with up to date information, if Uncharted was released on all formats would you still complain?
Unbelievable.
AAA titles?
jason you show me one game that has launched this year with the combined hype and amazing critic scores and ill walk outside the MCV building with a sign and protest this article.
(oh and if you say halo odst ill punch you)
eh?
"if Uncharted was released on all formats would you still complain"
What's this got to do with it? Why would I care about other formats? I have a Playstation 3 and a PC. You seriously need to think outside of the box, it's quite narrow-minded to think just because I'm complaining I don't have a Playstation 3.
Missing the point
Jason, I believe the reason why this ad was shown on MCV is because sony have seriously lacked in the advertising department for some time. I loved Infamous and Klllzone 2 but there was a distinct lack of network television advertising. Nintendo and Microsoft do a great job of advertising there products (someone should tell nintendo that glamour boutique is a waste of budgeting funds) and the retailers who frequent this site already know this. They don't however know that sony is advertising. Unless a customer comes in and says: did you see that add for uncharted 2 last night, They will not know whether the product is being advertised effectively. This can then direct the indie to a better estimate of copies of this game required. Unfortunately there aren't enough hours in the day to allow hard working individuals the time to see these adds. This article has brought it to those who sell the product. Well done MCV
