High-end SKU heading to North American retail in November priced at $349.99
Hot on the heel of Microsoft’s 250GB Xbox 360 machine – which is set to be included in a number of bundles this year – Sony has announced it’s own high-capacity PS3 SKU.
“The PS3 platform is poised for a tremendous holiday season,” vice president of product marketing for Sony US Scott Steinberg stated.
“The new 250GB PS3 provides consumers with another compelling hardware option and speaks to the growing consumer appetite for digital content from the PlayStation Network, particularly high-definition content that showcases the power of the PS3 system.”
Sony had previously confirmed plans to bring the 250GB SKU to the UK. It will mirror Microsoft’s strategy and offer the console as part of a number of bundles at retail this Q4.
