UK retail arrival for latest Need for Speed on Wii and DS racer shifted to November 6th
With its next-gen cousin Need for Speed: Shift still riding high in the UK charts, publisher EA has announced that it has bought forward the release date for it’s second NFS title of the year, Nitro.
Originally scheduled for release on November 20th, the Wii and DS game will now hit UK retail two weeks earlier on November 6th.
“Our vision was to create something unique on the Nintendo platforms,” senior producer Joe Booth stated.
“Need for Speed Nitro combines the franchise’s trademark attitude, sense of speed and addictive gameplay with the approachability and pick up and play of Nintendo.”
Nitro offers a less-serious take on the racing genre that that found in recent release Shift, substituting gritty realism and attention to detail for stylised graphics and fast-paced racing.
