Sega’s football title debuts at no.1; Wii Fit Plus claims second, DJ Hero nabs Top 20 slot
There are many certainties in football – Didier Drogba will score goals, Shay Given will save penalties and Rafael Benitez will always sub off his main goal threat. To that list of certainties you can also add that a new Football manager title will always debut in top spot in the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40.
Football Manager 2010 enters the listings in top spot, successfully fending off the heavyweight advances of Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus, which in turn has to settle for number two.
Perennial football favourite FIFA 10 holds firm in third place – it’s second week in that position – whilst Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 slims unceremoniously from first to fifth place on just its second week of release.
There are two other new entries in the Top Ten – Rockstar’s Xbox 360 exclusive Grand Theft Auto Episodes: Liberty City Stories claims number six and Atari’s Tekken 6 finishes in eighth position.
Elsewhere in the charts Activision’s brand new rhythm-action peripheral title DJ Hero enters the charts at number 20.
