With no sign of a Nintendogs sequel, publisher hints at feline-themed successor
Virtual pet simulator Nintendogs remains one of Nintendo’s most successful DS titles, but in the years since its release there’s been no hint of a successor – until now.
Talk of a new game in Nintendo’s pet series will be no surprise, but what is interesting is that it seems man’s best friend might make way for cats in the still mysterious follow-up title.
The full story, including quotes from Shigeru Miyamoto and Satoru Iwata, can be found on CasualGaming.biz.

Simulator
It would be great if this game actually simulated owning a cat.
Your DS Cat would start up on its own and demand attention at the worst possible times or when you are in no position to respond, and then adamantly refuse your attentions when you are in the mood to play.
Furthermore you would look for your Cat only to discover that it has wandered off to another nearby DS to see if anymore food can be had at someone else's place.
Plus any attempts to throw sticks or have a tug of war with rope would only be met with disdainful stares.
