Captain America and Thor to finally get their own video games alongside summer movie releases
Having first been name-dropped by Marvel over two years ago, the dedicated video games for comic favourites Captain America and Thor will finally make it to market in 2011.
The news was spotted by Gamespot in Marvel’s recent quarterly financial report.
Thor’s outing is scheduled for a May 2011 release – the same time Kenneth Brannagh’s Hollywood movie hits cinema screens. The Captain America title will follow just one month later and will also be supported by a cinema release, which will be called The First Avenger: Captain America.
Let’s not forget, either, that the next blockbuster outing for Hollywood favourite Spider-Man is also due out in summer 2011. No game tie-in has yet been announced, but expect Activision to already have a studio hard at work on the title.
