This site has an article stating halo ODST numbers for north america for the month of spetember alone are 1.5 million. How does this article reach the conclusion then that the world wide sales for halo ODST are only 1.8 million for the whole quarter???

The numbers are fine - they are for the three months ending September 30th - so only cover the data from NPD which you are refering to (when ODST came out and sold 1.5million copies that month). Add to that the 300,000 odd from the UK and the 30,000 from Japan and you get the 1.8million quoted in the story!

The quarter ended at the end of September (as mentioned in the article) so the numbers are good!

What about the rest of the world? the rest of Europe, Australia, India, Korea, etc?

The article is suggesting 1.8 million is the total world wide figure but
only reporting three areas ???
