Texas-based Windstorm Studios, founded by former Ensemble alumni, has partnered with Russian assets creation outfit 226.
Windstorm was founded earlier this year by Dusty Monk, best known for work on Age of Empires III and Halo Wars. He said, "We worked with 226 throughout the development of our prototype, and they have consistently proven themselves to be outstanding providers of quality content, meeting and exceeding our expectations in every way. Furthermore, 226 Productions shares our passion for creating a world that's bright and inviting, and having their expertise on the project will bring us that muuch closer to meeting that vision."
226 Productions has offices in St. Petersburg and Moscow, with staff credits including Pirates of the Caribbean - The Legend of Jack Sparrow, NBA 2007, and Timeshift.
Windstorm is working on an unannounced MMO which is touted as "a better online game - a game with the promise of of a hopeful future -- cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars".
