Windstorm was founded earlier this year by Dusty Monk, best known for work on Age of Empires III and Halo Wars. 226 Productions has offices in St. Petersburg and Moscow, with staff credits including Pirates of the Caribbean - The Legend of Jack Sparrow, NBA 2007, and Timeshift.

Windstorm is working on an unannounced MMO which is touted as "a better online game - a game with the promise of of a hopeful future -- cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars".
