First digital expansion for latest Call of Duty expected to arrive some time this spring
As well as rapidly easing past the half-billion dollar revenue milestone just days after its global release earlier this month, Broadpoint AmTech analyst Ben Schachter has predicted that Activision could generate as much as $140m in revenue from its upcoming Modern Warfare 2 digital content.
Furthermore, Infinity Ward’s community man Robert Bowling has confirmed via Twitter that the first of that DLC should be with us in the spring.
“Call of Duty DLC can be a solid contributor for Activision,” Schachter told IndustryGamers. “As with the last two COD titles, the game itself should maintain its $60 launch price until the next iteration, but Activision will also benefit significantly from the high-margin DLC potential enabled by the packaged product's success.
“We estimate that Activision will generate at least $100m-$140m in gross revenue from Call of Duty DLC in 2010. After paying the platform holders an estimated 30 per cent, this should generate roughly $59m-$85m.”
If true, this would be a remarkable step up from the digital success Activision enjoyed with last year’s Call of Duty: World at War, which made an estimated $45m from its post-release digital content.

MW2 DLC
Only if its good enough and offers value for money but I guess the MW2 community will soak up anything that comes out in the form of DLC, Infinity Ward were pretty lacking in the DLC dept for COD 4 and were totally outshone by Treyarch of all people who supported the community extremely well.
It would be good to see some free content coming out of IW as well but I don't think that's in their vocab.

all we want is maps more maps thats it ive talked to lots of people online hell just go online yourself and ask more maps we will pay just give us lots of maps and no dark sniping maps just lots of buildings , schools malls hell anything

In my opinion all the maps suck right now, we need more if your gonna release dlc make a bunch of maps and not shitty ones and more guns would be kool too the snipers in this game suck ass ive honestly been playing more cod 4 cause the snipers are horrid so plz more guns more then 3 maps plz

first off even if they said ya maps are free microsoft and sony both would still make you pay for them look at the dlc for l4d1
new maps are always a plus and cod waw rocked them out 3 mp maps and 1 new zombie per dlc if i am going to pay IW more money for Dlc for a game that has more bugs hacks and mode in it there better be more then 4 maps and they better bring back golden guns..
but hey thats what happens when you dont have an open beta test every !!! you get jav glitch boost lobbys on rust. map glitchs . unlimated ammo and no reload viruses. really crappy waiting time in a lobby trying to find games... just to name a few
