Jonathan Ross touts Natal release date

Having spent the day getting to grips with Microsoft’s Project Natal yesterday, comments from outspoken TV presenter Jonathan Ross point to a possible October release date for the anticipated Xbox 360 peripheral.

The news is roughly in line with news obtained by MCV last year suggesting that Microsoft is preparing a November launch for the device.

Ross said on Twitter last night that: Natal on Xbox is impressive. Not quite there yet I think but they have until October and if they get it right… sky’s the limit.”

Of course, Ross’ comments – if correct – could refer to Microsoft’s development schedule. An October goal could be in preparation for a November launch.

Microsoft confirmed last month that Natal is scheduled for release some time later this year.

Yesterday analyst Michael Pachter predicted that Natal could outsell Sony’s PS3 Motion Controller by a ratio as high as 10-to-1.
