Conduit 2 announced

Sega has confirmed a sequel to Conduit is in the works and will be released for the Wii this autumn.

Conduit 2 is an FPS that picks up where the original left off and allows players to save humanity from an alien onslaught.

New features include a four-player co-op mode, extra multiplayer battlefields, a sprint function and an arsenal of over 20 weapons. Like the original, Conduit 2 will also be compatible with the Wii Speak device for gamers who have exchanged friend codes with one another.

Developer High Voltage Software’s producer Josh Olson told Sega’s Blog: In the original, the core experience was fun but it did get repetitive.

We learned some great lessons from Conduit and feel we’re avoiding a lot our missteps in the first title.”
