AC: Brotherhood detailed

New details have emerged for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, the next instalment in the multi-million unit selling series.

The game was uncovered last week when pre-order materials emerged showing Ezio, the star of Assassin’s Creed II, with a variety of other characters and promising a release by the end of the year.

Ubisoft has now officially confirmed that Brotherhood will hit shelves in late 2010 and has been developed for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Work on the game has been led by Ubisoft Montreal with contributions from the publisher’s studios in Singapore, Bucharest, Quebec and Annecy.

Brotherhood will be the first Assassin’s Creed title to offer a range of multiplayer modes, with players choosing from a range of characters, each with unique skills and weapons.

There will also be a brand new single-player adventure, in which Ezio works to bring down the Templar Order by gathering a brotherhood of assassin’s and striking key targets in the city of Rome.
