Sony announces new sub-£10 series to bring more PSP titles to younger gamers
Sony has announced it will release a range of handheld titles next month under the new label of PSP Essentials.
The launch will see the re-release of some of the PSP’s biggest titles at the low price point of £9.99. The first 10 titles will be available on June 4th, with a further 10 confirmed for later in the month and more expected to follow.
Titles that will be re-released under the PSP Essentials brand include Daxter, Everybody’s Golf, LocoRoco, Secret Agent Clank, WipEout Pulse, Patapon 2, and Buzz! Master Quiz.
“Releasing PSP Essentials makes sure that every PSP gamer – and younger newcomers in particular – can get their hands on the best portable gaming experiences at affordable prices,” said Sony’s European product marketing manager for hardware and platforms Isabelle Tomatis.
“Combined with the other things PSP can do, like music, movies and chat, this makes PSP a really attractive choice for handheld entertainment.”

Most of these games are sub £5 pre-owned
£10 for games i can pick up second hand for under a fiver, reallllly?
the industry need to relise that pre-owned is gonna be around for a while despite those horrible codes EA charge an extra £10 for. and Pre-owned is the reason PSPgo, as awsome as it is, has failed.
.
@no offence...
A £5 premium for a box, manual and a disc that hasn't had seven bells knocked out of it by a previous owner? Sounds like a bargain to me.
I'm in
Personally, I'd rather pay a tenner for a brand new copy than something that little billy has had his jam hands all over. And thats the RRP anyways, which means most places will be doing them for around 7.99. = WIN
Little Billy
Hey, It hard to eat donuts without getting jam on your hands, its a problem OK!!!!!!
Just go a GO and this will make it pay
I just got a PSP go for £139 new and this will really make this console worth the investment as digital copies of games have until now been over priced. Here's hoping that this will breath life into the Digital only vision for SONY as I suspect this is a final push to move to purely digital handhelds in the near future.
