Rumours point to two new PS3 hardware SKUs including slightly revised innards
With a PS3 price drop very unlikely to feature as part of Sony’s E3 press conference tomorrow, it looks as if Sony might instead be preparing a slight revision to its current home console.
CVG reckons that the two new model numbers registered by Sony last week refer to new SKUs of the console – one 250GB and the other 500GB. Both consoles will also come bundled with the Move motion controller, too.
In addition, both will include a higher spec 802.11n wi-fi adapter that should significantly improve internet speeds for any users with a compatible router.
The move mirrors what Microsoft is expected to announce tonight – a brand new look for the Xbox 360 that includes built-in wi-fi for the first time as well as a high-capacity 260GB hard drive.

LMFAO, why bother?
Surely by now, most people realise that you can buy the 120GB Slim model and pop a 500GB 2.5 SATA HDD in it? Its very easy to do and will will probably cost you a lot less than a retail 500GB model PS3 Slim. PLUS, it doesnt void your warranty either :)
I purchased an 80GB PS3 Phat and upgraded the HDD to a 160GB that same day (it was a spare I had sitting around doing nothing). It works flawlessly.
