Duplication orders increased on the back of strong sales performance in the UK
City Interactive will up shipments of its FPS, Sniper Ghost Warrior, after it broke into the Top Ten last week.
The stealth FPS is City’s first major Xbox 360 and PC release, and hit shelves last Friday. It reached fifth place in the Xbox 360 games chart and tenth place in the All Formats chart.
“We are delighted with the strong response Sniper Ghost Warrior has enjoyed at retail," Distributor Mastertronic’s sales director James Cato stated. "Major chains such as Asda are coming in with considerable orders.
“As such, we have upped our duplication order for the next batch in line with the demand for copies. It is great that City Interactive can enter a market and enjoy success with their first major title.”
City Interactive CEO Marek Tyminski added: “We are extremely pleased with the reception Sniper: Ghost Warrior has received.
"We have always had the greatest of confidence in the quality of the game, but to see it do so well in its first week is a fantastic feeling. More stock is being released to meet the considerable demand, and we thank all our partners who have contributed to the game’s success."

what's this....a new ip doing well.
and there was I thinking this wasn't possible anymore.
fantastic job City, enjoy your success, long may it continue.
Great
I'm not knocking the game or anything as I haven't played it.
I think part of it's success is lack of other games at the moment - folks are getting bored of COD and for around the price or 6 new cod maps this game can be had from Supermarkets.
Well done, good strategy
