Sonic 4 arriving next month

Sega has announced what should be a concrete release date for its much-wanted platform sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 4.

The game, which is getting only a digital release, will debut on iTunes for download on iPhone and iPod Touch on October 7th.

This will then be followed by release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on October 13th, priced at 9.99 and 1200MSP respectively. It will be released on The Wii Shop Channel on October 15th, where it will cost 1500 Wii Points.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was first due for release this summer, but was delayed to allow for further development polish.
