Konami denies Castlevania CE cancellation

The Collector’s Edition of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has not been cancelled, despite claims being made online.

Retailer GAME issued this following statement via Twitter this morning:

Castlevania fans! Lords of Shadow Collector’s Ed has been pulled by the publisher and is no longer happening.”

Konami has now told MCV this is not the case. The SKU will not, however, be released this Friday alongside the vanilla PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

The publisher is unable to confirm the exact reason, though did state that it’s due to a manufacturing complication concerning the included metallic death mask.

The Collector’s Edition version of the game also includes an art book, CD soundtrack and special packaging.
