Vanquish price slashed ahead of release

It’s not even out until Friday, and already retailers are moving to drastically undercut the RRP of Sega’s upcoming console shooter Vanquish.

ShopTo.net is currently the lowest, offering both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 versions of the game for just 27.85.

Zavvi has also gone low, offering the Lenticular Sleeve version on both formats for just 28.99.

Play.com is offering the same version of 34.99, while the likes of HMV and GAME are charging 39.99 for the game.

Vanquish was developed by cult studio Platinum Games, who previous titles include ultra-violent Wii outing MadWorld and hit beat ‘em up Bayonetta. It is being directed by Shinji Mikami, who as well as creating the Resident Evil franchise has also played a part in a string of hits including Devil May Cry and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

It’s due out in the UK this Friday (October 23rd).
