Electronic Arts has reportedly laid hands on the PSP2.
The company’s senior vice president Patrick Soderlund, who admitted that EA has had access to the long-rumoured handheld, according to CVG. So far Electronic Arts is the only major publisher to confirm it has seen the handheld.
He said: Well, obviously as a developer we have had [access to] that – but I’m not allowed to talk about it. We can’t talk about it because of our relationship with Sony obviously, which is… That’s just the way it is.”
Rumours of the PSP2’s existence have been floating around for years, but have gained momentum since Mortal Kombat developer Netherrealm Studios announced it had access to an early version.
This latest revelation follows last week’s story that a PlayStation Phone also exists.
