MS clarifies Forza Kinect controls

Following the assurance yesterday that Kinect functionality will be supported in next year’s racer Forza 4, Microsoft has offered a little more detail on what exactly we should be expecting.

Most importantly, the official press material for the title makes more than one reference to controller-based racing”, with Kinect seemingly being used a tool with which players can explore the intricate cars in-game.

Forza Motorsport 4 will be the most expansive and vividly realistic automotive experience across any console, bringing you closer to the edge than you’ve ever been before,” the release reads.

Through the power of Kinect, players will be able to step through the TV screen and jump into the driver’s seat while the engaging controller-based experience will let you take on the bone-jarring physics, unparalleled levels of customisation, and rosters of dream cars and tracks.”

Confirmation was also given that Top Gear content will be included in the package, mirroring the inclusion of the Top Gear Test Track in Sony’s Gran Turismo 5.
