SCEE never doubted 2010 GT5 release

With two delays in 2010 alone and a release finally arriving at the end of November, long-awaited racer Gran Turismo 5 was cutting it fine all the way until it eventually hit shelves on November 24th.

But SCEE UK president Andrew House has told MCV he never doubted it would make the criticial pre-Christmas market.

We had good conversations with Yamauchi-san and the Polyphony team at Gamescom about the milestones,” he told MCV. And there was always very strong confidence it would be out this year.

But with a game of that size and complexity, sometimes you can encounter a few bumps in the road as you approach the end. We have successfully overcome those and were careful of not communicating a revised date until we were certain.”
