Packed Christmas planned for Xbox Live

Microsoft has announced a raft of content that will be made available on Xbox Live over the Christmas holidays.

The platform holder will be adding more 2010 hits to its Games On Demand service, starting with Red Dead Redemption and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on December 12st. Also due for digital release is Just Cause 2, Ghostbusters and Transformers: War For Cybertron.

Xbox 360 owners can also look forward to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam Expansion pack next week, and a trio of new Microsoft Game Studios titles – including A World of Keflings, the follow-up to the popular Avatar game.

Plus, of course, the holidays will see the usual Deal of the Week promotions – slashing prices on key arcade titles and DLC expansions – and plenty of Avatar Marketplace outfits.

A full list of deals, downloads and dates can be found on Major Nelson’s blog.
