Homefront DLC goes Xbox exclusive

Platform holder Microsoft has revealed that DLC for THQ’s upcoming shooter Homefront will be a timed exclusive on Xbox 360.

The news, reported by Eurogamer, comes from THQ’s ongoing press gathering in New York.

Additional content for the game will be released on PS3, but only after an as-of-yet unannounced period of time has passed. However, Xbox 360 users will get exclusive access to an additional multiplayer map called ‘Suburbs’.

The deal is similar to that unveiled last June when Microsoft confirmed that all DLC for Call of Duty games will have a period of timed exclusivity on Xbox 360. That agreement runs until 2012.
