Asda selling 3DS for £202

Supermarket chain Asda has launched its online pre-order campaign for Nintendo’s 3DS, which launches in the UK on March 25th.

The retailer is offering the device for just 217, though the use of a 15 off discount code (15OFF3DS) means that the actual price is just 202 – that’s almost 30 off what most are considering to be the 229.99 SRP.

However, Asda can’t lay claim to being the cheapest place to buy a 3DS in the UK. That accolade goes to indie games outlet ShopTo, which is currently taking pre-orders on the device for just 199.85.

Most other retailers, including Play.com, Amazon and HMV are charging 219 for the machine. Tesco is taking orders at 217.

GAME is currently at the top end of the price war with its 229.99 pre-order price.
